PRODUCERS LAUNCH TREND MEDIA
Los Angeles, CA, June 14, 2009 – Producers Rani Aliahmad and Rob Shalhoub announce the formation of Trend Media, a production company that aims to create high-quality content for new media audiences on a cost-effective basis by leveraging key industry relationships and resources. The producing duo has already begun developing a slate of projects in various genres and intends to begin production by summer of 2010.
Rani Aliahmad brings extensive experience and relationships from the entertainment, technology, and financial industries having raised over $200 million for various ventures and investment funds, including media funds. Mr. Aliahmad currently serves on the board of directors of several firms. He received his BA in Economics from Yale University and his MBA in Information Technology and Entrepreneurship from MIT.
Rob Shalhoub brings with him a decade of entertainment experience and relationships at major studios, television networks, and independent production companies having run independent film studio, Air Hollywood since 2002 and stock footage production company, Apex Stock. With an undergraduate degree in International Relations from Tufts University, Mr. Shalhoub also studied Film Production, Screenwriting, Film Theory and Directing.
